About Golf Metronome

Golf Metronome is a free web metronome for golf practice, built by a small independent team. It exists because tempo is the most trainable part of a golf swing — and the simplest tools for training it used to sit behind an app download.

How the tempo numbers work

Full-swing and short-game presets are expressed in 30-frames-per-second video frames, the unit used by video swing analysis: 24 / 8 means a 24-frame backswing and an 8-frame downswing. Putting presets are BPM, because a putting stroke has an even beat rather than a 3-to-1 split.

The tool plays timing cues. It does not analyse video, detect shots, track the ball or measure your swing — on the web or in the app.

What is free

The web metronome is free and needs no account. The native app adds guided learning, custom tempo, saved profiles and practice history, also free; only the four Pro programs are a one-time purchase.
